PREFACE: Key things to know before presenting PayVault

  • For merchants that require a physical device, the only equipment options available are the Equinox devices. PayVault does not work with Valor, Pax, or Dejavoo. See list of Equinox options below. NOTE: Check current pricing on the Hardware Pricing Sheet vs quoting the pricing below. 

  • While PayVault is responsive in any web-based browser (laptop, PC, tablet, mobile), there is no PayVault mobile app available.

  • Inventory: No. While PayVault does not have inventory capabilities, it can accommodate individual products. Typically, a merchant will use the "product" feature as a way to identify the services that they provide to their customers. Example: If an arborist were using PayVault, "tree trimming" could be listed as a "product" with a fixed dollar amount for the service. 
  • Vault multiple payment methods per customer: Yes
  • Create new customer records upon completing a payment: Yes
  • Fraud controls: Yes
  • Customizable receipts: Yes
  • Methods of payment acceptance: Cash, credit/debit, checks, and ACH
  • Supported pricing models: Interchange Plus, surcharging, and dual pricing
  • Multi-location reporting: Yes but limited capabilities. Requires separate MIDs

  • Mobile app companion: No
  • Works with Bluetooth card reader: No
  • Tap to pay: No, it does not have a mobile app companion
  • Optional payment devices: PayVault only works with Equinox Luxe devices. Devices include the Luxe 6200m (wired), the Luxe 6200m (wired + stand), and the Luxe 8500i (touch screen)
