Clover Gift Card Options

Clover Gift Card program* has no monthly fee, but charges a 2.5% load fee.  The Clover plan includes e-Gift Cards (SMS/eMail) in addition to plastic cards.  The Gyft.com website/App allows customers to check balances, purchase and schedule gift card delivery in the future with a message, or regift their own cards.  If the merchant has certain busy gift months and then periods where few are issued, no monthly fee may provide savings.

Factor4, and Loopz are also excellent Gift Card options but have a slightly different pricing model.  These two charge $8 per month plus a 2% load fee.  The lower load fee may sound appealing, but to offset the $8 fee the merchant would need to issue > $1600 a month in Gift Cards to save compared to the Clover plan.

Non-Clover physical cards will not swipe on a Clover device, the number needs to keyed by hand.  In many cases, only the last 6 digits of the card number are needed, so before importing ask the provider if this is possible.
