Gateway:  Bridgepay

Core strength:

Enterprise/vertical POS integration and payment connectivity

Key advantages:

Strong for integrated payments, EMV, tokenization, multi-merchant or multi-location implementations, and software/POS partner deployments; often suited to specialized verticals

Potential liabilities / cautions:

Fees:  $25 Setup, $10/mo, .05 per transaction.  Usually not a self-serve SMB gateway; commercial terms, implementation effort, supported processors, and features depend heavily on the reseller/ISV/POS relationship; may be more infrastructure than a small merchant needs

Best fit:

ISVs, enterprise integrators, and vertical POS deployments—especially when payment integration needs to be embedded in business software

BridgePay: choose for embedded vertical payments

BridgePay should be evaluated less like a merchant “app” and more like payments infrastructure. It is commonly relevant when a POS, healthcare, restaurant, retail, parking, hospitality, or other vertical software provider needs to embed card acceptance, EMV, tokenization, processor connectivity, or multi-location payment controls inside its own product.

Its advantage is depth of integration and vertical support. Its liability is complexity: the actual merchant experience, available processors, pricing, terminal support, and implementation path may be determined by the POS provider, ISV, reseller, or acquiring relationship. It can be overbuilt for a simple e-commerce merchant.

Use it when: the business runs specialized POS/vertical software and wants payments integrated into that workflow rather than managed through a separate web gateway.
