ACH orientation

Omnichannel payments platform with integrated ACH

Strongest advantages

One-time and recurring ACH in Valor Virtual Terminal; ACH portal/reporting module; custom ACH thresholds set by the ISO; virtual terminal, devices, payment links, and an ISO-focused platform

Main limitations

ACH is a newer/add-on capability versus a dedicated ACH processor; pricing, return handling, underwriting, and funding details are partner/ISO dependent; less suited to complex NACHA-file workflows

Best fit

ISOs and merchants using Valor devices/Virtual Terminal who want ACH alongside card-present, card-not-present, and recurring billing

Pricing

No Setup, $40/mo, 1.25% per ACH

Valor

Good: Valor offers one-time ACH sales/refunds and recurring ACH through its Virtual Terminal. It also provides a dedicated ACH reporting module in the Valor Portal and permits ISOs to set ACH transaction thresholds for individual merchants. For a merchant already using Valor for payment devices, virtual terminal activity, payment links, or recurring card charges, that creates a convenient single-platform option for accepting both cards and bank payments.

Bad: Valor’s ACH offering is less suited to sophisticated ACH-originator operations. Public materials do not describe deep NACHA-file creation, SFTP transmission, extensive SEC-code control, automated return-reason workflows, or check-conversion programs at the level ACH.com publicly lists. Pricing, underwriting thresholds, return fees, funding timing, and account-verification tools should be verified with the sponsoring ISO/processor.

Best fit: A Valor merchant or ISO that wants a simple one-time and recurring ACH option inside an omnichannel payments environment—especially if card-present devices, virtual terminal, and dual-priced invoices are also important.

Best-choice rules

  • Choose ACH.com when ACH is mission-critical and you need file uploads, API automation, recurring entries, batch operations, return retrieval, and granular ACH controls.

  • Choose Paya when you need ACH embedded in an existing software workflow—especially healthcare, education, nonprofit, ERP, or field-service environments.

  • Choose Valor when you already have a Valor/ISO relationship and want ACH added to a unified virtual-terminal, recurring-billing, and device environment.

  • Choose Authorize.net when you already use it for card payments and simply need a familiar, straightforward ACH/eCheck option for online invoices or recurring payments.
